Returning Anime Coming This Winter

The Fall season of anime has just begun with many great shows already airing, now it’s time to look ahead already to the returning anime series scheduled for the Winter season.

Some shows on the list were also slated to be part of the fall season, with some possibly delayed whilst others may not have been scheduled for release until the end of the fall season therefore running into the winter season. At the end of which we’ll list out the top shows to catch recommended by Kuru Media;


Dr Stone: Stone Wars Season 2

Dr Stone will be returning to our screens with the aptly named Stone Wars, the show will be picking up right where it left off. At the end of the first season there was looming threat of an impending War as Senku and his new found friends were preparing for the onslaught of Tsukasa Shishiō and his Army.

The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2

The hit comedy series is back with it’s second instalment as we catch up with the hapless Nakano Sisters as they continue their studies with the help of Futaro Uesugi. You can expect more hijinks, more misunderstandings and more budding romances in the much anticipated second season.

Armour Shop for Ladies and Gentlemen

This fantasy slice of life comedy series focusses on Kautz a young shop keeper of an armour store that sells sexy and revealing armours for female adventures with high stats at cheap prices.

Due to this the shop’s finances keep getting worse, dealing with this, the customers and his co-workers leads to many a funny situation.

Re:Zero Starting Life In Another World Season 2 Part 2

The second part of Season 2 will finally start airing this winter, following the first part being aired earlier this year as part of the Summer Anime season.

The second part will continue the story of Subaru as he continues his mission as he was left with two choices, save the sanctuary or the Mansion.

Log Horizon Season 3

This 3rd season of the widely popular series is named Destruction of the Round Table and will have 12 episode run, the series was originally scheduled for an October release but had to be delayed due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. The series will pick back up with Shiroe, along with his friends, Naotsugu and Akatsuki, as well as the rest of Log Horrizon society as they continue their adventures.

Cells at Work!!

You can tell it’s season 2 as the series title now has two exclamation points rather than the singular exclamation point seen in season 1. We go back inside the human body with our favourite Red Blood Cell AE3803 as she continues her misadventures, but don’t worry our trusted White Blood Cell U-1146 will be right there to save her as usual.

Promised Neverland Season 2

We’ll get reacquainted with Emma, Ray and the rest of children of Grace Field House Orphanage only this time the kids will be beyond the walls as the series picks up where it left off. Another anime that was originally scheduled for an October release but the production of the series was hampered by the global health crisis. The series recently had both a live action film and series announced as well.

Yuru Camp Season 2

Yuru Camp, also known as laid back camp is a lovely slice of life anime about 4 friends who attend camp together. The new series will bring the girls Nadeshiko Kagamihara, Rin Shima, Chiaki Ogaki and Aoi Inuyama back to their camping club for more outdoor adventures.

Attack On Titan Season 4 (Final Season)

Attack on Titan has been an anime pop culture phenomenon since it’s first release in 2012, so fans are no doubt equal parts excited and saddened for its 4th and final seasons. Season 3 finally revealed both the awful truth behind the Royal Family and the truth of the titans as well as Erin’s father, what will this season hold as they now make their way beyond the walls.

Seven Deadly Sins: Dragons Judgement Season 4

One of Neflix’s first original anime came under fire for its season 3 release due to the change in animation studio with many long time fans venting their anger on twitter and other social media sites. Nevertheless the Seven Deadly sins will be returning for a 4th instalment, picking up from Season 3, Liz and the rest of the Sins must find a way to save Meliodas from himself.

Non Non Biyori Nonstop Season 3

The sleepy village of Asahigaoka welcomes us back, catching up with Hotaru, Renge, Natsumi and Komari in their local store. This fun light hearted slice of life comedy is all about rural life in Japan and how Hotaru must learn to live and have fun in countryside since moving there from the big city.

That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2

Rejoin Satoru Mikami in his reincarnated life as slime named Rimuru in this amazing isekai fantasy adventure. Season 1 left off with Rimuru managing to establish his goblin village as a major hub for Goblins, Trolls and other monsters but danger still lurks around every corner, as Rimuru still must deal both the demon and human races.

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen Season 2

The 25th Anniversary of the Sorcerous Stabber Orphen is set to continue on with a second season, the original late 90s series also had a second season run. The second season, to be titled Battle of Kimluck looks to carry on the 90’s source material.

Beastars Season 2

The Netflix original series first aired in Japan back in October of last year and was later released to Western audiences in March of this year, the series turned out to be sleeper hit for the streaming site. The popular series will be returning carrying on from Season 1 as we rejoin Legoshi whilst he continues his relationship with Haru and his investigation into his school friends homicide continues.
